Our Mission

The MISSION of Bowers Family Chiropractic is to “Turn Your Power On!” allowing you to express your fullest health potential. Interference to your nerve system (the true mind body connection) is eliminated by utilizing state-of-the-art computer testing, traditional, gentle hands on chiropractic care or utilizing the Pro-Adjuster for adjustments. Dr. Jeff is dedicated to offering services at fees that are affordable to people with or without chiropractic health insurance.

The Bowers Family Welcomes You!

Dr. Jeff Bowers started as a chiropractic patient when he was in his early twenties.  He had a pain that shot up his spine and down into his legs. It felt like a lightening bolt. After seeing a chiropractor, he felt 100% better.

While seeing a chiropractor, he realized that other people were seeing changes in their overall health.  People with asthma, allergies, headaches and other health problems were feeling 100% better.  Watching others obtain better health without drugs or surgery made him realize that he wanted to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.

He finished his undergraduate college courses in Maryland and then moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Life College of Chiropractic (now Life University).  While acquiring his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Jeff married Wendy.  Two years later Justin was born and in 1997 his daughter, Jennifer, was born.

Upon graduation, the family moved to Alexandria, Virginia where he worked at Goddard Chiropractic for four years
When Dr. Jeff decided to open a practice, the family fell in love with the Spotsylvania area of Virginia.  In the summer of 1999, Dr. Jeff opened his own new practice and the family moved to Fredericksburg.

Dr. Jeff enjoys exercising regularly and spending time with his family. When he’s not seeing our practice members or enjoying his family, he can be found in local waters fishing for bass and trout or on local trails riding his mountain bike.

He and his wife are members of Ni River Community Church. Two accomplishments to his honor are he was recognized for his volunteer efforts with the International Chiropractic Association at the Pentagon following the September 11th attack and he was awarded the Family Practice Award by The Family Practice Consulting Group. He enjoys leading his practice members, as well as the local community, to better health by sharing the chiropractic lifestyle and is available as a speaker to groups and organizations.

Wendy Bowers is Dr. Jeff’s wife and helps during the in-school season. Wendy normally works on the front desk, greeting members and scheduling appointments. She and Dr. Jeff have been married over 20 years and she is the glue that holds the Bowers home together.
